Pub History

It all started in 1934

Mac’s Tavern was established in 1934 by Bill “Mac” McLaughlin in the tradition of a beautiful old-time establishment. At the time when “Mac” McLaughlin opened his now infamous pub – bartenders wore black pants, white shirts, and ties with white aprons.

It’s been over 80 years since it was built, but still today you can saddle-up at the original 40-foot bar. “Mac” McLaughlin has the bar built with a slight curve, so that all of his patrons could easily see each other.

We think that “Mac” McLaughlin would be proud of the community that we continue to build here.

Today, Mac’s Tavern is owned by Sasha and Gary Rowland. The spirit of old “Mac” McLaughlin lives-on through this dynamic duo. Many people walk into Mac’s Tavern as patrons, and leave as friends.
